We still need copies of Kevin Spacies KPAX on DVD, BlueRay, VHS cassette or that weird laser disc format which was a thing once - the format / language does not matter – we just need any copies of this film that were issued as physical home media at any point in time. DOWEL MILITIA UPDATE

I know we have received a number of applications to join our Dowel milia and are yet still to provide a follow up. Work is ongoing to get this properly set up. We have been hit by some delays – for example we are still deliberating on what colour the Dowel berets should be – naturally we thought they should be brown – but we don’t want people to call our brave volunteers “Shit heads” so this is still under review. We have also visited a bespoke Beret shop in Paris – and frankly the range available is much greater than we anticipated. You can get wedding ones and everything – so this may take a while. We have agreed on some very jazzy Dowel based ear defenders though. Renders to follow. In the mean time we suggest you keep your skills sharp – you should be able to break a car windscreen just by flicking a Dowel at it from 20 paces.

NEW DOWEL BASED RESTAURANT OPEN IN LILLE, FRANCE.

In this newsletter we like to support those who provide Dowel based or Dowel themed services – this month we are proud to feature Dowl, the Hot Dog – a small restaurant in Lille, France (near the border with Belgium) its well worth checking out DOWL for their “artisan” hot dogs. I mean if you are going to create a Dowel themed menu - I think its entirely fair to focus on hot dogs and they say they offer the best hot dogs in town – which I don’t doubt them on at all.


Like many of the worlds best food establishments you can find them in the local shopping centre (V2) . It is a must-see address for Dowel lovers in or near Lillie. Go to DOWL! and Praise the DOWEL!

If you ever do find yourself in there – just say the phrase “Praise the Dowel” for a 15% discount on a hot dog meal deal (valid weekdays before 5pm).

NEW DOWEL POSTCARDS

Anyone who has received postal correspondence from the Dowel in the past few years has probably received some of our highly regarded postcards – well its now time for us to produce our 2025 / 2026 versions – if you have any ideas for what you think would look good on a post card – let us know. The postcards are currently our main marketting tool – we know people cant not read postcards – so we post them to random people all the time and write all sorts of Dowel facts on the back – we havent had anyone reply to them - so in that regard it works at least as well as advertising on the internet.
